At the helm of Handy Lingual is Dom (they/them), a dynamic and creative force with a commitment to navigating the day-to-day challenges faced by groups and individuals. As a queer, neurodivergent individual, Dom brings a personal understanding of diverse ways of learning and existing in this world. They are not just a founder; they are a problem-solver with a unique ability to break down complex information and present it in ways that cater to various needs.

With over a decade of experience in the Design Industry, Dom's expertise extends into the realms of UX and UI, where they've demonstrated a deep understanding of users – their needs, values, abilities, and limitations. This background has laid the foundation for Handy Lingual's commitment to providing accessible and user-friendly resources.

Dom's journey took a pivotal turn as they transitioned into Disability Support Care, driven by a passionate advocacy for supporting individuals within the community. This shift reflects Dom's versatility in adjusting methods and communication styles based on the unique requirements of each individual.

Drawing from experiences with different demographics, including the elderly and teenagers, Dom identified a gap in their understanding of the foundational years. This realisation sparked further studies in Early Education and Care, equipping Dom with a solid understanding of State and Commonwealth policies, legislative frameworks and Developmental Milestones applicable to children and children's services.

Notably, Dom's commitment to addressing challenges in tertiary education led to the creation of a comprehensive handbook that translates complex frameworks and documents for students, teaching staff, and Early Childhood Educators.
